Grants for women

Ruth Gibson Memorial Award
This award perpetuates the memory of Gladys Ruth Gibson CBE (1901-1972), an outstanding educator and community worker, whose vigour and vision promoted the interest of women generally, and raised their status in the world.

Twenty three women have received awards since its inauguration in 1979.

This will provide financial assistance for a woman to further her studies and/or research, or to travel to a meeting, seminar, symposium or conference, either in Australia or overseas, for purposes approved by the Management Committee of the Ruth Gibson Memorial Fund.

The 2009 Award will be up to A$4,000. Applications are due Wednesday 5 August 2009
